Acne-Ltd Conditions the Skin

Acne-Ltd III is more than 99 percent sulfur and sodium chloride plus zinc oxide. This means it is free of any carrier or base. Typically, pharmaceutically acceptable carriers such as ethanol, glycerol, sterile alcohol, and glycerylmonostearate are used to place a medication in solution or emulsion form for application. Some of these carriers themselves are irritants to acne. None is used for Acne-Ltd III which means pure conditioning and no added irritations for your skin.

Acne-Ltd: An Excellent Source of Information

I started using Acne-Ltd in March of 2004 after a friend recommended the site as an excellent source of information on dealing with adult acne. I can't believe the difference this one product has made in the tone and texture of my skin! The blotchy redness I had always spent so much time trying to hide is no longer a problem. The acne pimples are gone! In fact my skin is even less oily! Acne-Ltd is certainly worth trying!

Using Acne-Ltd Since 2002

I am a repeat customer Acne-Ltd III user.

I first started using Acne-Ltd in May '02 & am very happy with the results.

I am prone to adult acne which was very embarassing to me.

I had seen a dermatoligist who prescribed anti-biotics & a topical lotion, however the results were not nearly as rapid as I have experienced with the Acne-Ltd product.

Try it & I believe you will like it.

I Think I've Tried It All

I've only been using the Acne-ltd a short time but I'm already pleased with the results - my pores appear smaller, I have less oilyness and I have fewer pimples and the ones remaining seem to be> clearing up quickly.

I've tried birth control pills to control the acne on the advice of a derm that it was all hormonal. But I didn't really see any real improvement in the pimples or breakouts.

I tried Seabreeze, but all that did was set off the smoke alarm outside the bathroom door!

I' ve also used products in the Clinque line - the turnaround cream and the deep cleansing mask. The turnaround cream made me itch and the mask burned so much that I washed it off almost as soon as I put it on so I can't really say if it would have helped or not becauseI never left it on long enough to find out.

I saw all the infomercials for Proactive - tried that but I never saw all the results they advertised. I thought I saw some improvement but no one else noticed any difference, so it couldn't have done much good.

My derm reommended Metrogel and I used that for awhile - at first it did help to lessen the pimples but then it quit working after a few weeks and my face just looked worse.

By the time I tried Acne-ltd, I was kind of skeptical about anything working. But then I figured who would be crazy enough to offer a four month quarrantee if they didn't really believe in their product. I guess it was the quarrantee that finally convinced me to try it. And I happy with the results and would you believe, others notice the improvement in my skin and comment on how good it looks.

Great Results With Acne-Ltd

I have been having great results with this product- I wish I had known about it sooner! It would have saved me a lot of pain and money. I think everyone should give Acne LTD III a try. I have only gotten small pimples since using this (and only at that time of the month)- I used to get very large ones that would take forever to go away. I don't have that problem anymore which is a lifesaver!

The Ingredients of Acne-Ltd

The ingredients in Acne-Ltd III are: zinc oxide, magnesium stearate, sodium chloride, iron oxide, copper oxide, polyethylene glycol, and sulfur (sulfur is used externally only and not to be confused with sulfa which is taken internally only).

These ingredients are compressed under 22,000 pounds of pressure into a very concentrated smooth solid disk which when glided over the wet skin will dissolve off the proper amount.

These disks are processed in such a way that ACNE-LTD III is virtually free of any irritant vehicle carriers. Typically, pharmaceutically acceptable vehicle carriers such as ethanol, glycerol, sterile alcohol, and glycerylmonostearate are used to place active ingredients into solution or emulsion form for application. However, in many cases, these vehicle carriers are irritants to people with acne-sensitive skin. No vehicle carriers are used in ACNE-LTD III.

The ACNE-LTD III disks are also free of any potentially irritating preservatives such as methylparaben, propylparaben, and Quaternium-15. Lastly, ACNE-LTD III disks are free of any potentially irritating fragrances.

The key to Acne-Ltd III is simplicity. It allows for the direct delivery to the skin of many well known and well documented anti-acne ingredients without the usual accompanying side effects.

The role of these ingredients is as follows:

A. Zinc: Topically applied zinc has been used for decades by various medical physicians for the treatment of inflammatory acne. They have used zinc either as the primary ingredient or in conjunction with other anti-acne medications. Currently, zinc is found in several different active forms in hundreds of over-the-counter skin care products and anti-acne medications. Topically applied zinc has been shown to have a potent anti-septic effect (Drs. Provost and Farmer). More specifically, evidence suggests that zinc has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal actions, as well as mild anti-inflammatory actions (Drs. Rock, Wilkinson, and Ebling).

B. Sulfur: For over two decades, sulfur has been used for the treatment of acne and rosacea. Clinical studies have demonstrated that it is extremely effective in the treatment of papules and pustules (Drs. Ellis and Strawiski). Many dermatologists tailor acne treatments to the individual by varying the concentration of sulfur in a given preparation (from 2 percent to 15 percent sulfur). Acne can be a long-term condition for many sufferers. For this reason Drs. Blom and Hornmark were interested in a non-toxic, topically administered treatment that would be as effective as orally administered drugs such as antibiotics. To date, these medical physicians use topical sulfur as their primary anti-acne treatment. In a double-blind clinical study of 40 acne patients, these physicians found that acne-related papules and pustules responded much better to topical 10 percent sulfur than to oral antibiotics. In fact, they found that with four weeks of topical sulfur treatment, the average number of papules and pustules dropped significantly (from 213 pimples before treatment to 17 pimples after treatment), that this clearing was much better than that attained by treatment with oral tetracycline. In a separate series of clinical studies, similar results were found by Dr. Strauss and colleagues.

C. Sodium Chloride, Copper Oxide, Magnesium Stearate and Polyethelene Gylcol: These ingredients have long been well known for their anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory actions, by which they reduce redness better than antibiotics, and their vascular constrictor action, which reduces overall facial redness whereas no other products constrict the dilated skin vessels as well as these ingredients do.
